Network Requirements for kilo Robot Deployment

This Document Outlines The Network Connectivity Requirements For Successful Deployment And Operation Of The Kilo Robot

Network Segregation Recommendation

It is highly recommended to deploy IoT devices such as the kilo robot on a separate, dedicated network segment rather than the primary corporate network. This approach enhances network security, reduces the risk of interference, and simplifies management of connected devices.

Supported Networks

5 GHz Wi-Fi Networks

The kilo robot supports connections exclusively to the 5 GHz band. Ensure that your wireless infrastructure broadcasts a 5 GHz SSID for robot connectivity.

Security Protocols

The kilo robot supports the following security protocols:

  • WPA2 Personal and Enterprise (802.1X/EAP)
  • WPA3 Personal and Enterprise (802.1X/EAP)

Please ensure the network is configured to use either WPA2 or WPA3 authentication methods. Note that it does not support captive portal internet connection.

Required Network Configurations

  • Frequency: 5 GHz
  • Supported Authentication: WPA2 Personal, WPA2 Enterprise, WPA3 Personal, WPA3 Enterprise

Initial Setup Actions

  1. Ensure your network is not a captive portal.
  2. Verify your Wi-Fi infrastructure broadcasts a 5 GHz SSID with WPA2/WPA3 Personal or Enterprise enabled.

Following these guidelines ensures optimal connectivity and performance of kilo robots in your environment.
